Starlight Children’s Foundation, world-renowned photographer Douglas Kirkland and his wife Françoise, and photojournalist Marissa Roth are hosting a photography exhibit featuring hand-selected images from more than 80 renowned photographers that capture the essence of indomitable spirit. Participating photographers have contributed portraits, landscapes and other images that they feel best exemplify the indomitable spirit that is displayed on a daily basis by the kids and families Starlight serves. The museum-quality prints will be sold either as part of a silent auction or a limited live auction. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Starlight’s families, who embody indomitable spirit in their courageous and resilient struggle against childhood illness every day. The works will be available for advanced online viewing at www.starlight.org beginning November 1. Starlight helps seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.
